Why Do Companies Need a Professional SEO Content Writer?

Wednesday, January 27, 2010

I have been working as a SEO content writer for the last four years and nothing disappoints me more than SEO content written haphazardly. Usually I come across pages that have been written only to attract traffic but not to keep them enticed.

A simple question that every SEO content writer should ask himself or herself – even if I make people come to this site, how am I going to keep them hooked? Consumers have a lot of options and they don’t have time to read everything.

While it is true that world is a BIG place and there are many customers. So if one goes, another one would come and so, why should we, as a company, invest our resources on finding a good SEO content writer? Writing is all about placing matter from one page to another and even my techie guy can do it.

Well, your thinking can yield you good results only if you are deliberately trying to ignore the marketing trends of 2010. If your idea of doing business is to cater to your immediate neighbourhood and your extended family, then yes – even your brother-in-law can be the SEO content writer for your company.

The World Of Content Writing

Saturday, January 9, 2010

According to a recent survey published by Gartner, content writing has shaped the internet as we see today. It is true that there is a lot of content flowing freely on the net today, but only a tenth of this content writing is actually worth reading.

Content writing has evolved over last five years or so. Writing was considered to be a very exclusive domain earlier, but with the rise in internet boom content writing has taken a back seat. Today every web development company wants to do well, earn big bucks but when it comes to content writing, they just kill the whole essence of it. Writing for them is taking content from the net, changing some key phrases in it and publishing it again on the internet. More than half of them don’t like to add any originality to their work, and why should they when things are going well like this.

It is right that every organization wants to jump in the bandwagon of World Wide Web and to support them; there is a huge resource pool. Coding, designing and development of a website are mind blogging processes only if the developing company is using any mind for it. For making sure that a reader stays on the website long enough to understand what it is all about, every business needs good content. Content writing as an art requires words to be combined in such a manner which can hold the interest of a reader for a considerable amount of time.

Web writing, travel writing, blogging and all the subject specific writings are the integral part of content writing. While writing the content, the most important point to remember is that nothing can be written without knowing the target audience. At every step content writing requires creativity and vision. Writing in a talented way is not difficult if someone knows how to blend experience with originality. Words can be learnt and so can be content writing.

GLOBAL WARMING AND OUR WORLD

Wednesday, January 6, 2010

How to create awareness regarding global warming and what can we do to help reduce its affects?

The world we live in today, it is not difficult for anyone to get information on global warming and how is it affecting us. You can ask any kid and they will be prompt in replying that our climate is changing due to emissions of some harmful gases and this is global warming. The question here is: what are we doing at individual level to control global warming? Here are few pointers that should give you an idea of how you can help:

1. While driving, save fuel.
We all know that to drive, we need fuel and we are aware of the fact that it is non renewable. However, if we make a conscious effort of saving it by simple methods, such as vehicle maintenance, drive in an appropriate way and using public transport, our efforts will get counted in this global cause. So remember - till the time they do not make solar cars, use less fuel and contribute to reduce global warming.

2. Give recycling its due importance
More than half of what we throw can be used in some way or another – if only we know how. Do not print unless necessary, increase use of items made of copper, glass and aluminium and say NO to plastic for global warming. Do we need to tell everyone that plastic material does not decompose, it just chokes. Your country might be a developed one where you do not see mountains of plastic polybags but travel to third world countries and you will see where does all that plastic go.

3. Be vegetarian
This is for those who call non vegetarian food their weakness. Have you ever thought that by eating such a cuisine you are directly affecting our climate and causing global warming? How, do you want to know? By passing different kinds of gasses to our environment through your not so cooperative digestive system.

4. Opt for power saving appliances
Now this is the only thing that will cost you some money initially. Products that run on renewable resources generally cost more than the normal ones, like opting for solar heater instead of electric geyser – but you also know that the after some time what you will save through electricity bill would be more that the initial difference of buying such product. So why not make the right decision and purchase commodities that will have mean minimal expense later and support those fighting against global warming?

There are many sites on that give you an authority to decide a way which will prove beneficial for you as well as community. http://www.swisnic.ch/ is one such portal that operates with the hope of making the world a cleaner, better place to live. It provides indirect and tailored services tailored to energy solutions.
So from today, let us make a slight effort in ensuring that we keep our environment clean and healthy for the generations to come.

Buying Diamond Jewellery

Thursday, November 5, 2009

Buying diamond jewellery is an expensive decision and many of us know little about it. Gold and silver attract attention of many jewellery buyers, but diamond remains a strong gift idea for occasions like festivals, birthdays, anniversaries and marriages. To most people, a diamond represents undying love for their beloved, and everyone wants to buy diamond engagement ring or a designer diamond ring at least once in life. However many individuals actually do not know what to expect in the terms of quality and price when they shop for diamond rings. It is therefore essential to arm yourself with the knowledge about the product beforehand, so that you can get the maximum value of your money.

Foremost, it is important to find a trustworthy online diamond jewellery store or a diamond jeweler. After that, the next step is to do some research on the grading system of diamonds, also known as the 4 Cs for diamonds. The beauty and price of diamond engagement ring depends on the rarity and prettiness of it, which is interplayed by these 4 Cs - Cut, Clarity, Carat and Color.

Cut:

'Cut' of the diamond in the engagement ring determines the light dispersion, brilliance or life of the diamond. If the diamond's reflective qualities are below the standard, then its appearance will be adversely affected. These good cut gives the diamond its brilliance and ability to handle light in a sparkling fashion. The brightness will seem to come from the very heart of the diamond engagement ring.

Clarity:

Clarity refers to the presence of inclusions in a diamond. Inclusions are the natural identifying characteristics like minerals or cracks, appearing while diamonds are formed in the earth. They look like minute crystals, clouds or feathers in diamond. Diamond engagement rings and designer diamond rings free from internal flaws or inclusions are rare and highly valued. This grading of clarity of diamond requires education and a lot of practice for a gemologist to master. The diamond is first looked with naked eye and then under a 10 X magnification lens to check the number of inclusions. The grading on clarity is done according to these factors:

I. I.F. - Internally Flawless, means the diamond engagement ring presents no internal defects under 10 X magnification.

II. V.V.S. 1 to V.V.S.2 - It implies very slightly included when the piece presents defects that are very difficult to locate under 10 X magnification.

III. V. S.1 to V. S.2 - Very slight inclusion, when the diamond designer ring presents defects that are hard to locate with the naked eye.

IV. S. 1 to S.2 - Slight inclusion, when the diamond presents defects that are easy to locate with the naked eye.

V. I.1 to I. 3 - Imperfect, when the diamond engagement ring presents defects that are very easy to locate with the naked eye.

Carat:

In the diamond designer ring, carat refers to the weight of diamonds in it. Since larger diamonds are rarer that the smaller ones, the value of diamond engagement ring rises exponentially with increase in the carat weight. A carat is 200 milligrams or 0.2 grams and is always referenced within 2 decimal points.

Color:

The last most important thing that you need to look while purchasing diamond designer ring is the color of diamond. Color implies that how 'colorless' the diamond is? For example, a white diamond is not really white but clear in color. Different colors in diamond engagement rings are produced because of impurities trapped in the diamond during the process of it's formation. Color range from totally colorless (D) to a pale color (Z). Diamonds of a higher grade than (K) fall into the fancy diamond range. A diamond with a color range greater than (K) often have descriptive phrase like grade (M) - Faint Brown.

The final point is to always remember that diamond engagement rings and designer diamond rings can be purchased within a wide variety of price range. What you need to decide is your taste and spending power.

Shop online for Used Motorcycle

Friday, October 9, 2009

I was brought up under strict family rules. Where I was in school, my parents incorporated a great deal of discipline in me and my brother. We had guidelines and had to follow them. The day used to start at 5 am, even if it was dead cold outside. Back then I hated that kind of life but now when I realise the amount of work my parents did with us, I feel indebted forever. Without their help, I would have been like most of my classmates who gave up their fight even before they began and are too fragile emotionally to start a new routine and a life now.

Childhood is a lovely age, when we are driven by passion. We don’t even realise how our hobbies become zeal to pursue them till the last breadth. My dream was to acquire a bike, whether new or old. I developed this liking when I was 12. It was great fun walking around the motorcycle lot on a Sunday afternoon and looking at the motorcycles. As usual, people’s comments were a great dampener when they used to tell me that girls don’t ride a bike. However, I was in such a frame of mind where nothing could stop this love of mine and when I began working in a bank in London, I thought of buying a bike for myself. So I started looking for Internet motorcycle for sale auctions and quickly discovered that there were quite a few reasons to like these online motorcycle auctions.

The first major advantage that internet buying has over traditional buying is the amount of time that you can control while having a look at it. Experience says that whenever we shop for something, we like to look for the best possible item under our budget. This means flocking one shop to another looking for that perfect piece. This often results in time wastage and unnecessary tiredness. And when you can have the same experience from your desk, why waste time. There are thousands of chances to buy used motorcycles online. If interested, you can also see new bikes for consideration.

Another feature of online motorbike auctions is the final price of your motorcycle. You can find really great bargains if you look for them. You may want to look specifically at glm sales as an option as they stock some of the most incredible pieces in London.

Tips on keeping your Motorcycle clean by glmsales.co.uk

Wednesday, August 19, 2009

It is well worth using a scooter or motorcycle for getting around the town or city. Those short trips to the football game or local store don’t have to be bimonthly occasion when you have a two wheeler that you can just park and forget. If maintained well, you will be amazed to see the amount you can save on insurance premiums and non essential repairs. Get your motorbike filled only once, follow a rigorous maintenance schedule and see its average constantly improving.

Routine maintenance also ensures safety of you as well as others on the road. If you did not get a handbook with specs on your motorcycle at the time of buying it, you should try to get one. If that seems too difficult to you, you can also search for some suggestions on daily, weekly and monthly check up of your vehicle online. There are many forums that allow users to register and be a part of ongoing discussions. You can also check workshop manuals which are made available for almost all the new models. Many of these manuals are available to buy in the form of a CD or DVD.

Things you can’t ignore and should be a part of your check-up on your motorcycle include:
- Tires should be in good condition. Find out about the recommended tyre pressure from the spec as it is very important to maintain the accurate tire pressure. Under-inflated tyres adversely affect handling and make the ride uneven. Over inflated tyres cause motorcycle prone to damage from surface hazards.
- Verify that the Mobil oil is at the sufficient level and at the time of this checking, ensure that your bike is standing on a levelled ground.
- Regularly clean the body surface of the two-wheeler to maintain its surface finish. Ensure that the ignition switch unit, and silencer are covered before beginning the cleaning process.
- Brakes should be functioning properly.
- Inspect for any leakage from battery. It should be always be clean and free from any leakages. Even if you are planning not to use motorcycle for a long time, the battery should be kept fully charged with electrolyte level touching the top mark.

- Check wheel bearings by grabbing wheels with it off the ground and observe if there is any sideways play.

- Also check swinging arm bearings with the back wheel off the ground
These suggestions are for basic maintenance that you can do on your own. Any major job or complete overhauling needs to be done by a mechanic. What Do you Think About the New Bike Test?

In UK, you must apply for a provisional licence before you begin to learn a bike. Even if you already hold a valid driving licence for a car or lorry, you will still need provisional entitlement for driving a bike. After you get a provisional licence, you will have to take the theory test to get a full licence. Theory test has 50 questions that must be answered in 57 minutes and you must get 43 marks out of 50 in order to pass the test.

The second part of driving theory test covers hazard perception test and you need to pass both to qualify for the licence. Once you have successfully cleared the theory test, you can then apply for practical driving test. The cost of test is £80 and expected to be raised to £90.50, which is a pre-planned annual increment done in October 2009.

The practical test commences with an eyesight check, general vehicle safety questions, and specific manoeuvres. A typical driving part of test lasts for 40 minutes in which the examiner observes your driving techniques. The current pass rate for bike tests is 53%.

Last year The Driving Standards Agency (DSA) asked for views from general public on proposals to split the existing practical test into two separate modules. This is being done with a view of giving the would-be bikers a better start in their motorcycle career.

As per the plan the existing practical test will be divided, with applicants being required to clear the first module initially. It will have a series of specific exercises such as averting and stops under urgent situations at a minimum speed of 55kph. Clearing this will automatically approve the applicant to move forwards to the second module which will have an eyesight test followed by drills on road. Applicants failing to clear the second module will not be required to retake the module one test if they pass the subsequent module within two years of clearing the first module.

The new system will see the same theory test element and applicants will be required to pass the written exam before taking their practical test – the practice that is followed now as well.

7 Tips to Save your Hard Earned Money While Getting Your Web Site Designed.

Tuesday, August 18, 2009

How many times you come across a site thinking you could have done a better job if only you knew how to design a website? More than 70% of internet population thinks the same way but is clueless about criteria that constitute a good web design that is if you asked them which elements give away a professional website, they wouldn’t be able to tell you. What they can identify, although subconsciously, is a bad web design. Here are few points that form the building blocks of a good site and make sure you read them all before beginning the process of designing yourself or hiring someone to do it.

Plan
Know what you want. Do not leave it on designers to tell you what will you need. A designer’s job is to tell you the perfect way of putting information to ensure that people get the general idea even while glancing, but he is not the best judge on WHAT to put. It will help you a lot if you have a plan with you from the beginning.

Make your site Consistent
Header, footers, logos, text and navigation should be consistent all throughout the web pages. Studies show that a visitor is not likely stay on a site which is either confusing or has mismatched content.

Keep the layout logical
Don’t try to play too much with the standard layouts that come with templates. Check if the most important page elements are visible and logically connected? I once saw a site that had contact us link on every page but did not have any contact information within those links.

Accessibility
When designing your site, keep in mind that one out of six people visiting your site are disabled in one way or another. Some can be colour blind, others too old to read small fonts or some may have difficulty reading through a poor contrasted page. All these factors have a huge impact on the perception of your brand.

Avoid using fancy fonts:
Though fancy fonts look good but are extremely difficult to read and their use should be restricted to logos and branding. For easy readability, use standard sized san serif font.

Use free web tracking tools
Google and Alexa offer a series of webmaster tools that can help you to track who is coming to your site, what are users clicking while on your site and which pages they are exiting to.

Promote
What good is a website that is simply laying on Internet without people realising it that it is there. You need to promote your business every day to let others know what is it that you offer and how are you different than the other companies/people in the industry. It is all about creating a good impression and retaining it. if you don’t know the art of online marketing, hire an expert for it. World Wide Web has a vast potential and you need to tap if before someone else takes away your potential clients.

If you live in London or near North London area, Middlesex, Barnet, Harrow, Brent, Edgware, Finchley, Borehamwood, Mill Hill, Colindale, Hendon, Canons park, Stanmore and Crouch end; you can contact your local web designing and SEO firm. Indigo, which is a very well known name in the designing segment, can guide you in the best way to create and maintain a personal or professional website. It has plans that begin at a very low rate of £170 per annum and can be customised according to your needs and preferences.

E-Commerce websites that work and ACTUALLY generate money

More than half of the world’s population dreams of earning through the Internet. Companies are hiring high end designers and developers to create E-commerce sites that are not only attractive but also ensure a high level consumer spending. Those are rich companies and can afford to spend thousands every month to keep their IT team busy, but what can you, a commoner, do to increase profitability and reduce maintenance cost?
To see a rise in profits from existing visitors, four things matter:
· A robust website
Apart than credible and original content, a good ecommerce site should lave accurate information and easy functionality. The visitors should be able to customised information as per own preference. Sites like Mylook and Slashdot.org offer customization features that allow users to filter the content they see. “One – to – one” websites are fast becoming the future of the Web. These database- driven sites automatically adapt the content, look and even advertising to individual users. These are made using technologies like Web Objects and Cold Fusion, which allow webmasters to create interactive, dynamic, and adaptive web sites.

· Ecommerce site optimization
Once you know who is coming to your site and what are the users clicking, you need to do some testing to see what they like and what they don’t like. Is your logo too encrypted? Does that “order here” link make customers exit from your site? Is your content not unique? Maybe the 1-800 numbers will help to track preferences where potential customers need someone to talk to and understand more deeply about the product or service. Do multivariate testing which will allow you to manipulate various elements of your website. It can be used to track which links have the best success at turning visitors into buyers or leads.
If you can spend some time in learning Google Analytics, you can easily set up multivariate testing and if you don’t have time for that – hire an expert to do that.

· Opening new revenue streams.
After you've done research on where people are coming from and which sites they go to from your site, you will definitely know what makes them buy. An analysis of this information can help you to increase your ecommerce site revenue. If you own a content oriented site, you can sell Ads on your site. If you have a series of products or services, opening up an affiliate program is a good idea as it not only will boost sales, but will also help your SEO process, as affiliates will link directly to your site.

Indigo SEO: A successful case study

SEO or search engine optimisation is a tricky business. Typically it targets different types of search, which includes local search, phrase specific search, image search, and industry-specific vertical search. It is the tool that ensures a good website presence of a web site.

As the latest Internet marketing strategy, it takes into consideration the methodology that search engines follow to index web pages according to the keywords people use to search something particular. Optimizing web pages mainly involve editing the text on it and sometimes modifying the HTML coding associated with it. This increases the relevance of specific keywords and pushes the indexing activities of search engines for that particular page or site.

With the kind of traffic it can get to your site, many companies have started making the budget for this kind of marketing as well. The optimization projects are carried by SEO firms on behalf of their clients and if the company is big, it may hire full time professionals to perform on-house SEO services. It in itself has become an industry and organisations that got into it initially are reaping huge benefits out of it.

Many companies offer improved search engine rankings but choosing the one which can give you the best return on investment and delivers on promises is difficult. Therefore there are very few authentic success stories on search engine optimization on the web and here is one that I have researched and really liked:

> North London Motorcycle Training
www.northlondon-mct.co.uk

· SEO done by: www.indigoideas.co.uk

· Business Challenge
North London Motorcycle Training offers tuition from CBT to Advanced Rider Training. The company had a website but was unable to tap the complete market. Like other websites, their content was also focused on everything under the sun and had no keyword specific text. The visibility with the search engines such as Google, Yahoo, MSN, Ask was poor and the site failed to register itself within the first few pages.

· Solution offered
Indigo deployed its people to rewrite the text in a search engine friendly tone and uploaded new pages to the site. Apart than that it worked continuously on selected phrases and optimised them to get best results. Appropriate keyword tags were used across each webpage which increased keyword links throughout the website. The site currently ranks 1 for the chosen keywords, one of which is CBT London North.

Looking for Aerospace Fasteners?

Tuesday, July 28, 2009

The importance of an aerospace fastener can be best assessed by those working in aerospace manufacturing industry. These are the people who need to have proper equipment to carry on with their work and know that aerospace fasteners are the most vital elements in meeting the fastening requirements in airframes, engines and other hydraulic systems.

Do you know that the material used to create fasteners is compliant with military standards? The safe operation of an aircraft is highly dependent on the accurate selection and appropriate usage of hardware in the manufacturing process.

A regular aircraft is made of hundreds of small pieces. Therefore the aircraft builder must have thorough knowledge of the hardware necessary for building an aircraft. He should also be well versed with tracing these parts if the need arises. There are firms like Diamond Fasteners that are far ahead of their competitors in the industry. A ISO-9001:2000 and AS-9100 certified distributor, Diamond Fasteners have an extensive and exclusive range of the highest quality Aerospace Bolts that regularly exceed the general industry standards.

50 USES OF NITROGEN THAT YOU DID NOT KNOW!

Friday, July 10, 2009

- It is used in light bulbs
- Used in high temperature thermometers where mercury cannot be used.
- Used in making ammonia (NH3).
- Used in missile work as a purge for components, insulators for space chambers.
- Use is explosives. Nitrogen can be used to make four different explosives. One of these is Ammonium Nitrate (N2 H4 O3). *In 1947, a shipload of Ammonium Nitrate went off in the harbour of Texas City, TX. The explosion wrecked the city so badly; it seemed that airplanes had bombed the city.
- The other three explosives made from Nitrogen are Nitroglycerin, Nitrocellulose, and Trinitrotoluene. You probably know Trinitrotoluene better by the initials TNT.
- Surprisingly, Nitrogen is used to make Laughing Gas as well.
- Used by the electronics industry as a blanketing medium when producing transistors, diodes, etc.
- Used in annealing stainless steel and other steel mill products.
- Used in drugs in large quantities.
- The oil industry uses nitrogen to increase the pressure in wells to force crude oil upward.
- Used as a refrigerant both for the immersion freezing of food products and for transportation of foods
- Liquid nitrogen is used in oil fields, to extinguish oil fires.
- Nitrogen is essential for synthesis of proteins in plants. Proteins are essential for synthesis of protoplasm, without which life would not exist
- Used by the chemical, petroleum, and paint industries to provide inactive atmosphere to prevent fires or explosions.
- Nitrogen in the air helps as a diluting agent and makes combustion and respiration less rapid.
- Used in metal working operations to control furnace atmosphere and in metallurgy to prevent oxidation of red-hot metals.
- Used to produce a blanketing atmosphere during processing of food stuff, to avoid oxidation of the food.
- It is also used when food is being canned, so that microorganisms do not grow.
- Nitrous gases are used as an inductive anaesthetic in pregnancy and pain relief such as in burn victims.
- Nitrogen is also an active component in the cyanide compound.

StreetFighter Motorcycle Styles

1980s witnessed a growth of a rebellious trend in England, called StreetFighter. It was lead by youngsters who wanted to demonstrate their toughness using drastically changed motorcycles with powerful engines and took to the streets. They started a fire storm which soon crossed over into Germany and the rest of Europe within a couple of years. The trend was also popularised by bike messengers who had to fight maddening London traffic to deliver messages. These messengers never earned grand salaries and so instead of replacing the war torn bodywork of their motorcycles, they simply removed them. This gave them the advantage in the way of better performing bikes and improved navigation on the machine as opposed to the custom scene which preferred style over outright ability.

The StreetFighter scene continues to grow and thrive in many European countries till today. Countless are believed to be avid members of StreetFighter Magazines, Fighter clubs, meetings and forums. The trend has expanded its routes to American culture as well and looking around the world we see many vibrant styles that demonstrate a key piece of cultures across different countries.

Interesting ideas are taking shape within the four walls of garage sheds and workshops at few designated places. Globalization has made room for infinite possibilities for StreetFighter and used motorcycles in London and neighbouring areas, namely Edgware, Mill hill, Stanmore, Colindale, Bushey, Harrow Weald or Golders Green. The appeal of the sporty motorcycle lives on in the shape of bikes by Greater Londor Motorcycles, which is inspired by long traditions in young and dynamic arena of bike designs.
